Did you know that there are different phobias (fears) for lots of things? For example, automatonophobia is the fear of ventriloquist’s dummies, which to be honest, I think I have. Here is a list of many more; some are strange, but others are common. Which phobia do you have?
Ablutophobia – Fear of washing or bathing
Nyctophobia – Fear of the dark
Anthophobia – Fear of flowers
Haphephobia – Fear of being touched
Arachibutyrophobia – Fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of the mouth
Amathophobia – Fear of dust
Caligynephobia- Fear of beautiful women
Taphephobia – Fear of being buried alive
Carnophobia – Fear of meat
Chaetophobia – Fear of hair
Botanophobia – Fear of plants
Coimetrophobia – Fear of cemeteries
Omphalophobia – Fear of belly buttons
Consecotaleophobia – Fear of chopsticks
Didsophobia – Fear of drinking
Hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia – Fear of long words
