This January, the Koinonia Homeschool Co-op went on two skiing field trips to Cannonsburg Ski Area. I went on Wednesday, but they also went on Tuesday. Between the two days there were 55 people who participated.
We started out on the bottom of the hill. Mr. Dean was our ski instructor. Hannah Mennega was there too! We slowly worked our way up the small mountain on a rope. We got one third of the way up the hill and practiced there.
Finally we started going down the entire hill. Then we went into the lodge for lunch. I am not kidding, they have the best hot dogs ever! After lunch we did some separate skiing. Hannah was teaching snowboarding to some kids. Other than wiping out a few times, it was great!
I love skiing and enjoy snowy winters. Cannonsburg Ski Area is a fun community to be a part of.
