Book Nook – Fort by Cynthia DeFelice

When was the last time you got to go in an outdoor wilderness fort? That’s exactly what Wyatt Jones and his best friend Augie Valerio got to do in Fort by Cynthia DeFelice.

Wyatt and his friend plan to build a fort and sleep in it for the rest of the summer in the woods, but their privacy is disturbed by bullies and an autistic boy named Gerard. So Operation Doom is forced to take place in the night. The results in the end are unexpected.

I loved reading this book on my own. The humor is outrageous and the characters are well created. Now I can’t wait for summer.
